La \u201cSala dell\u2019Eneide\u201d \u00e8 decorata da scene che, seguendo fedelmente il testo dell\u2019Eneide di Virgilio, illustrano il mito di Enea, l\u2019eroe leggendario che, fuggendo da Troia approd\u00f2 nel Lazio ove i suoi discendenti fonderanno la citt\u00e0 di Roma<\/strong><\/p>\n

Il mito del viaggio di Enea si avvia dall\u2019abbandono di Troia distrutta dai Greci e l\u2019imbarco sulle navi verso Occidente, per proseguire attraverso il Mediterraneo, <\/strong><\/p>\n

Il Mare Mediterraneo \u00e8 un mare gi\u00e0 nell\u2019antichit\u00e0 profondamente interconnesso e unificato, percorso da innumerevoli rotte di popoli e individui per i motivi pi\u00f9 diversi, dalle guerre ai commerci, dalle carestie alle conquiste, fino alla ricerca di un nuovo futuro.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Il mito di Enea \u00e8 l\u2019eco di un antichissimo Mediterraneo caratterizzato da vivace mobilit\u00e0, da profondi cambiamenti insediativi, dalla rapida evoluzione dei sistemi sociali, e dal contatto \u2013spesso violento \u2013 fra culture differenti, in un quadro molto distante dalla stabilit\u00e0 che si affermer\u00e0 con l\u2019impero romano.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Enea \u00e8 dunque il simbolo dell\u2019incontro fra mondi diversi, della rinuncia e del dolore, ma anche del destino e della speranza nel futuro.<\/strong><\/p>\n

La madre di Enea, Venere \u00e8 rappresentata nella raffigurazione centrale, la Dea intercede per suo figlio presso il Dio Vulcano che si distingue con una fiaccola in mano.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Oltre a ci\u00f2 viene celebrata anche l\u2019opera di Diomede nella sua azione di governo del marchesato, cui alludono le figure di Ercole, Cerere, Vulcano e della Venere Terrestre. Autore degli affreschi \u00e8 Niccol\u00f2 Circignani con due interventi di Giovanni Antonio Pandolfi, a testimonianza dell\u2019importanza che rivestiva il Palazzo della Corgna.<\/strong><\/p>\n

La stampa tridimensionale rappresenta Venere, madre di Enea e il Dio Vulcano.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The \u2018Aeneid Room\u2019 is decorated with scenes that, faithfully following the text of Virgil’s Aeneid, illustrate the myth of Aeneas, the legendary hero who, fleeing from Troy landed in Latium where his descendants founded the city of Rome<\/strong><\/p>\n

The myth of Aeneas’ voyage starts with the abandonment of Troy destroyed by the Greeks and the embarkation on ships to the West, to continue across the Mediterranean Sea,<\/strong><\/p>\n

Already in antiquity, the Mediterranean Sea was a profoundly interconnected and unified sea, traversed by countless routes of peoples and individuals for the most diverse reasons, from wars to trade, from famine to conquest, to the search for a new future.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The myth of Aeneas is an echo of an ancient Mediterranean characterised by lively mobility, profound settlement changes, the rapid evolution of social systems, and the contact – often violent – between different cultures, in a framework far removed from the stability that was to establish itself with the Roman empire.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Aeneas is thus the symbol of the meeting of different worlds, of renunciation and pain, but also of destiny and hope for the future.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Aeneas’ mother, Venus, is represented in the central depiction, the goddess intercedes for her son with the god Vulcan, who stands out with a torch in her hand.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Diomedes’ work in governing the marquisate is also celebrated, alluded to by the figures of Hercules, Ceres, Vulcan and the Earthly Venus. The author of the frescoes is Niccol\u00f2 Circignani with two interventions by Giovanni Antonio Pandolfi, bearing witness to the importance of Palazzo della Corgna.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The three-dimensional print depicts Venus, mother of Aeneas and the god Vulcan.<\/strong><\/p>\n
